St. Tikhons  hopes to start offering water from the springs beneath the monastery church as Mountain Monastery Water (Water with a Blessing) next year with your help.  A machine has been purchased which has a carbon filter and a UV filter  so the it will  maintain a high standard of healthy water for distribution.  The water has already been successfully tested for ‘Food Service’ quality and will be additionally tested by the Department of Water for Bottling in Pennsylvania.  So, it will be physically and spiritually healthy.

 

Many monasteries in Russia successfully market their water and St. Tikhons has regular visitors who load up cars (literally) with jugs of water to take home.

 

The cost for this current project is $12,000 for remodeling and $8000 for plumbing...$20,000.  To help make gifts go further an anonymous donor has offered to match dollar for dollar any gifts toward this project up to $6,000 that are received before the end of the year.  That means your gift can have a double impact, so, please consider helping us out with our latest monastery project.
